Privacy and Cookie Policies
Italian Law D.lgs. n. 196, June 30th, 2003 ("Codice in materia di protezione dei dati personali") that addresses the protection of persons
and other subjects regarding their personal data.
Detailed information are given in Italian language at the relevant page, to which Users are referred.
This section summarizes in English how this site manages Users' personal data according to the above mentioned law.
In particular, Users are informed and acknowledge that:
data voluntarily provided by Users, both when completing the registration procedure (e.g. name, email, data about affiliation, etc.)
and when using the site (e.g. posts' or replies' texts) will be managed exclusively to provide Users with the services listed in the above sections
and to support their activities on the Website.
In particular, this includes the publication of User profile data in the "User profile page" that will
be visibile to all Website vistors, excluding their email address, that will be visible only to the Website administrators.
The User email address will be used to: (a) inform Users of activities directly regarding them: approval or disapproval of their
User profile, approval or disapproval of their posts, reception of replies to their posts; (b) to inform users of other activities
or opportunities offered by the Website.
Messages of type (a) cannot be switched off, while messages of type (b) can be switched off by choosing the relevant option in
the Settings page.
Users that do not want to receive messages of type (a) can deregister from the Website, as described later.
In any case, it is excluded the transfer of User email addresses to third parties, for commercial use.
Data requested when buying services online (e.g. upgrade to Bacheca Business Plus) are collected in order to enable the accountancy registrations
mandated by law (e.g. invoicing).
Data concerning payments (e.g. credit card number) are not managed or recorded in any way by the Website; they are managed exclusively by the
international payment service PayPal (see relevant information: http://www.paypal.com/).
data are treated both through information technology tools and paper based means or any other useful support, as needed to conduct
the Website activites and to comply with relevant Italian regulations, in particular Annex B of the "Disciplinare Tecnico", attached
to the law "Testo Unico della Privacy".
obtaining the data is necessary in order to enable the Website to provide its services and disallowing access to them makes the provision
of the services to the User impossible. For this reason, denying access to the data make the completion of the registration procedure impossible.

What’s a Cookie?

Technical Cookies: they are used to support the technical operations of the site, as for instance cookies for

that simplify the visit (for example, remembering authentication information or language selection)
Profiling cookies: they are designed to create profiles related to the User. They are used in order to send advertising
messages in line with the preferences shown by the Users themselves during web browsing.
According to their duration, cookies are classified as follows:
- Temporary cookies that expire (and are automatically erased) whenever you close your browser.
